Quickly preview documents, emails, and messages directly in Outmind—without leaving your search.

Outmind lets you open and consult a document with a single click, without opening it in its original source.

It’s a fast and seamless way to access key content, while still giving you the option to go further if needed.


🖱️ How Does It Work?

To preview a document:

  • Simply click on the document in the results list or from your search results.

  • The preview opens instantly, without leaving Outmind.

  • Use your mouse wheel or trackpad to scroll through the document content.


📄 What Content Can Be Previewed?

The preview feature supports a wide variety of formats—including those often found in compressed or archived files.

Here are the main supported types:

✅ Files

  • PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

  • Files stored within ZIP or RAR archives

✅ Emails

  • Individual email messages

  • Files from PST or MSG archives (Outlook backups, etc.)

✅ Chat Messages

  • Conversations from Teams, Slack, and other supported collaboration tools

  • Open in source lets you view or edit the file directly in Google Drive, Outlook, etc.

  • Launch the assistant allows you to ask questions about the file (summarize, extract key info, etc.)


💡 Good to Know

  • Previews respect user access rights — if you don’t have access to a document, the preview won’t be available.

  • Fast loading, even for large or non-standard files

  • Saves time by avoiding back-and-forth navigation to external storage tools
