πŸ“‚ File Upload & Drag-and-Drop in the Assistant

Written by Ludivine Schmitt

You can now add files directly into a conversation with the Assistant, without indexing them in Outmind.

πŸ’‘ Tip: use Outmind search when you want to find and work with documents already available on your company servers. Drag and drop is ideal for temporarily adding files during a conversation, especially urgent documents you’ve just received that are not yet available in Outmind.

πŸ–‡οΈ Add a file to a conversation

Two methods are available on desktop:

  • via the paperclip icon πŸ“Ž next to the send button

  • via drag and drop: simply drag and drop your files into the conversation

On mobile, file upload is only available through the paperclip icon πŸ“Ž.

Once uploaded, files can immediately be used by the Assistant to analyze, summarize, or enrich the conversation.

⚑ What you should know

  • Files remain limited to the conversation

  • They are not indexed in Outmind

  • You can add files at any time during the discussion

  • Limit: 20 files maximum per message
