🎯 Goal

Allow users to mark specific files as favorites to access them faster — from the Outmind homepage or the dedicated Favorites menu.

It’s the perfect solution for documents you consult daily or weekly.

🧠 Why Use Favorites?

Some resources are essential to your daily work — searching for them over and over costs time.

Examples:

  • The standard response template for RFPs

  • The shared project plan with the client

  • The quarterly product roadmap

  • The source file for your weekly reports

  • The workshop debrief template

Marking these files as Favorites lets you access them instantly, without navigating folders or typing keywords.

✅ Benefits

  • Immediate time savings — no need to search or reopen recent files

  • Quick access to your critical working documents

  • Fewer distractions — stay focused on what matters

  • Easy to use — one click to add or remove a favorite

📌 Key Takeaway

Favorites are your personal shortcut space in Outmind.
They help create a minimal, focused workspace centered on your key files — without altering file structures or shared data.

⚙️ How It Works

Add a File to Favorites

  • Right-click on a file → Add to Favorites

  • Or hover over the star icon and click to favorite it

📌 Note: This feature is currently only available for files. Pages, messages, or emails can’t be added to Favorites (yet).

Access Your Favorite Files

  • From your Outmind homepage

  • Or via the Favorites menu in the left sidebar

You’ll instantly find all your marked files — one click away.
