At Outmind, we place great importance on the security and confidentiality of your data: all data collected by Outmind is encrypted in transit and at rest.
This starts with the synchronization. When you connect a new tool to Outmind, your data is retrieved via HTTPS. This is an end-to-end encrypted protocol for transporting data over the internet. This means that even when intercepted, your data remains unreadable. Most of the tools Outmind connects to have implemented OAuth2 authentication, which also helps secure the storage of your login information.
When your data arrives at Outmind, your data is encrypted as well. It will then pass through the rest of the infrastructure where it will undergo several processes (extraction, filtering, analysis, indexing...) that will allow your documents to be indexed in the best possible way.
Finally comes the storage of the indexes. It is what comes out of the processes described above that will be saved in our engine: the metadata (name of the document, date, author, etc.) as well as the textual content of your documents (from the extraction operation, also called parsing). It is this data that allows our engine to provide you with the best results for each of your searches. All our indexes are encrypted at rest using the Advanced Encryption Standard algorithm with 256-bit keys (AES-256), which ensures military-grade encryption security.
