What is this feature for?

This option improves the relevance of search results by reordering them using AI processing.

The goal is to better match the search intent with the retrieved documents by reevaluating their relevance beyond the initial basic textual score.

How does it work?

A standard textual search is performed first. Then, the results are reordered by an AI model that takes into account the context of the query, the expressed intent, and specific elements from each document (such as title, author, location, and highlighted excerpts).

This allows the most relevant documents to be displayed first.

What data is used?

The metadata of the retrieved files (title, owner, file path) as well as highlighted text excerpts are sent for processing.

Which provider is used?

The reranking is performed using Cohere (more info: https://cohere.com/).
